Phone was dropped in water for 2 seconds…how long should i keep it in a bowl of rice?

ok so my phone dropped out of my bag into a toilet :// ugh. and I literally got it out in 2 seconds (b//c i know the drill now, this happened to me b4) i was about to take the battery out n everything but i had a hard core case on this time (an iSkin for blackberries), n it was still working fine ,just wet on the outside (or so it seemed) then the background started changing color n fading, so I immediately took out the battery, bought a bag of RICE n put it in a bowl n stuck my battery, sim card n phone in it…how long should i keep my phone items in the bowl of rice?
Over the night should do it. 24 hours for safety. Just make sure you take the battery out, and don’t let curiosity get you. DO NOT try to turn it on. Keep the battery out! (Good luck)
